Certain Commonwealth countries, mostly in the Caribbean, have enacted legislation which provides a unique opportunity for individuals and their families to obtain citizenship and a second passport under a prudent process which is relatively quick and straight forward.
Among the countries that have such interesting programs , we can mention,
Saint Kitts and Nevis, The Commonwealth of Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada and Panama. These small independent Caribbean and Central American states offer fast and lawful acquisition of citizenship by investment.
The second passport programs are grounded on similar set of rules of investments, payments to government entities and very similar costs. They are known also as Citizenship by investment or Economic citizenship, which by no means the terms and names of the programs imply or mean they are different or seek another goal, other than issuing the second passport or residency. The main scheme are based on real estate investment at the country of application.
